My name is Sara Carboni and I have been working as a freelance interpreter and translator since 2002. After obtaining my interpreter (2000) and translator (2001) diplomas in English and French at the Interpreters and Translators School in Rome (the one formerly located in Via Mercadante for those who know it!), I first worked for a translation and localization agency in Dublin and, once back in Italy, I started working as a freelancer in 2002. Since my first steps in this field I have invested time and energy in networking and contacts, ensuring the highest quality, punctuality and professionalism to customers and flexibility and cooperation to colleagues. I love my job and hence I try to give it my best, with dedication and enthusiasm. Thanks to these efforts I had the opportunity to work in different European countries like Belgium and Ireland, as well as for the Italian Translation Unit of the European Parliament in Luxembourg, where I was employed as a full-time translator from January 2008 to June 2009. In 2010 and 2011 I also carried out many interpreting assignments for the Protocol Office of the Municipality of Rome, within the institutional activity of the Mayor.
